Tier II Express

For companies and institutions wishing to perform the site inspection themselves, EH&E provides a “guided” self-inspection and reporting service for Tier II reports. This service is geared towards the company or institution that has not filed, or has not filed in a number of years.  Once a proper filing is performed, the yearly filing process typically becomes very easy for an institution's personnel to perform themselves. The Tier II Express Service follows the steps outlined below:

  1. The client completes an initial questionnaire supplied by EH&E.
  2. Using the initial questionnaire, EH&E personnel conduct a telephone interview in order to determine the site-specific information required for filing. EH&E then develops a site-specific questionnaire.
  3. Site-specific information is collected by the client and passed back to EH&E.
  4. EH&E then files electronically with the state and local agencies, which includes writing the required letters for the local fire department, the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), and/or the State Emergency Management Agency, if applicable.

The cost of the above service is $1500. If the initial site survey determines that no Tier II report is required, then the fee is only $500. The initial survey will serve as your due diligence for the Tier II filing requirement.

Note: This fee assumes that the client will utilize their own staff and resources to complete both the initial questionnaire and site specific questionnaire. It may be necessary for the client to conduct some research to complete the site specific questionnaire. For example, it may be necessary to research specific battery capacity to determine total sulfuric acid stored onsite. At the client’s request, EH&E can perform this type of research to assist in completing the site specific questionnaire, however, an additional cost will be incurred for this service.
