Mold & Moisture Management

Excessive mold growth indoors can be detrimental to a building and its occupants. Some molds digest woods or other organic materials, while other molds may cause or contribute to adverse health effects in sensitive and allergic people. Therefore, it is important that programs be in place to prevent mold growth indoors, especially during construction and renovation activities, and that facility management staff are trained on how to properly respond to floods and water releases. EH&E offers several programs to assist building owners and managers with the prevention of mold and management of moisture in buildings.

  • Water Intrusion Control Programs During Construction, Project Close-out, and Operations and Maintenance
For your construction project, EH&E develops and trains your team in construction practices to help prevent mold growth. We can also conduct visual inspections for mold growth, collect moisture measurements, and observe construction activities to ensure that the best practices for preventing mold growth are being followed.
  • Development of Procedures for Responding to Floods, Water Releases and Mold Growth.
EH&E helps you develop a program specific to your facility on how to manage water damage promptly to contain an event and to prevent mold and limit losses. We also provide guidance on how to effectively communicate with building occupants concerning mold.
