In the fall of 2008, EH&E sponsored a four-part webinar series on the current challenges faced by colleges and universities in meeting campus sustainability programs goals. The recordings of these webinars are available for purchase.

$100 per recording. Credit card payment only. No purchase orders or checks. 
 
Each webinar recording includes one hour of presentations followed by one half-hour of Q&A. Both the audio and presentation are provided as a flashfile. Also included is a PDF file of the slide presentation and supporting materials from the webinar.

Upon purchase of a recording, you will be provided with access and instructions to download a zip file containing all the files for that particular recording. Please note that these are live recordings of the event.

 Webinar #1: Charting the Path to Campus Sustainability

This program will provide you with the most up-to-date tools and knowledge necessary to manage a successful campus sustainability program. This program covers:

  • Latest trends in campus sustainability. 
  • Developing a sustainability team. 
  • Developing metrics to support a sustainability effort. 
  • Identifying the "stakeholders" within faculty, staff, and students to determine program opportunities.

This presentation will discuss the emerging standards, regulatory frameworks, and the pros and cons of various existing calculator tools and methodologies for greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories. This program will cover:

  • A market overview of GHG Inventories. 
  • World Resources Institute's GHG Inventory Protocol. 
  • The Climate Registry's "General Reporting Protocol." 
  • Calculating emissions for primary fuels, biofuels, refrigerants, electricity, Renewable Energy Certificates, commuting, air travel, solid waste.

This presentation will provide the tools and templates necessary to develop an effective greenhouse gas reduction plan that can be tailored to your institution. This presentation will have a particular focus on the Climate Action Plan requirements of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC). This program will cover:
