According to The Joint Commission’s (TJC) report on “2011 Most Challenging Requirements”, EC.02.03.05 (inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection equipment) is one of the most challenging standards and in 2011 40% of hospitals were not compliant. The Joint Commission puts an emphasis on accuracy, completeness and accessibility to proper documentation. Hospitals must be able to document 100% device testing and that corrective action was taken to address any deficiencies identified during testing. Third-party vendors are often used to assist with meeting the requirements of this standard. However, vendor testing schedules, device lists, inspection forms and reports are often inadequate. Yet ultimately the hospital is responsible to TJC for testing compliance. For most hospitals this means their facilities staff spends valuable time manually tracking corrective actions and reviewing vendor documentation to ensure all devices are inspected. This webinar will show you how Microsoft SharePoint can automatically administer much of the details of the fire / life safety monitoring program to both improve overall compliance and actually reduce the administrative burden drastically. The key components of the solution are: - Electronic inspection forms for third party vendors
- Master device inventory to ensure all items are inspected
- Customized workflows to track and document equipment repairs
- Inspection status reports
- Facility Directors
- Facility Managers
- Risk Managers
- Fire / Life Safety professionals
- EH&S Managers
- All staff with responsibility for fire / life safety compliance
