Loss Mitigation

Loss mitigation is the prevention or minimizing of losses due to business interruption and/or property damage after an emergency such as a fire or flood. With regard to environmental impacts, EH&E offers expertise in the area of loss mitigation.

The main objective is to limit property damage and to safely return your business to normal operations without compromising health or safety. Time is also a critical component, and EH&E has extensive experience using innovative methods to expedite recovery activities in order to achieve this objective.

Whether it is mold, water damage, or soot from a fire, EH&E can develop protocols for the remediation of affected building systems and materials, including specifications for containment measures, physical barriers and segregation of HVAC systems. EH&E can also oversee the remediation activities and develop and conduct acceptance testing programs to ensure that damaged areas have been appropriately addressed, and that the area is safe for re-occupancy.
