Infection Control Risk Assessment Plans

The Joint Commission Environment of Care (EC) standards require hospitals to maintain an Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) program for all construction projects in order to minimize risk to patients, visitors and staff. ICRA is a strategic plan that identifies and mitigates the potential risks for transmission of disease-carrying agents that can be transported or spread during a construction project.

EH&E has experienced fire protection engineers on staff who can help you develop and maintain your required ICRA plan. We can also design and assist with implementation of Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) when important Life Safety Code® features are compromised or absent due to construction activities.
