You may be required by federal, state, and local regulations and standards to maintain Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Program Plans, including an EH&S Manual, Contractor EH&S Manual, Chemical Hygiene Plan, Biosafety Plan, Security Plan, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plan, and Integrated Contingency Plan. These plans establish the framework to ensure that all of your staff, contractors and visitors are afforded the highest level of personal safety and protection. Due to the vast number of agencies (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Transportation, State Environmental Agency, Local Fire Department, Local Health Department, Local Emergency Planning Committee) and applicable regulations , development of these EH&S Program Plans is extremely time consuming.
The first step is to determine whether your facility is required to have one or more of these EH&S Program Plans. Based on EH&E’s years of experience in assessing companies, we can help you determine which EH&S Program Plans apply to your facility and if so, develop the plans customized to your facility’s unique needs. Once the plans are written, we can also help you maintain them by conducting periodic updates to ensure that they are accurate and compliant.
