This focused support package is designed to provide the Biosafety Officer (BSO) with the program activities and data management tools they need to meet their ever-increasing compliance requirements. It includes:
IBC Committee Meeting Workspace - Provides a calendar of upcoming meetings with organized library of minutes, agendas, attendees, etc. Records all documents and information associated with past meetings.
IBC Research Application database - Streamlines the application review process by providing a centralized and organized database for the BSO and all reviewers. Allows the BSO to assign applications to reviewers and tracks the review process through each step. Provides statistics on types of applications or agents in use, summary data such as approva” for each application type (e.g., approvals/year, etc).
IBC Researcher Portal - Provides a secure site for researchers to automate the application submission process and provide researchers with read-only access to track information from the IBC Research Application database. Allows the BSO to communicate efficiently with researchers. Electronic submission forms can be created on request.
Lab Inspection Assistant (LIA) - A complete data management and reporting package for inspections that follows the guidelines established in the NIH / CDC BMBL. It provides a great way to demonstrate the success of your lab safety program as well as plan improvements to meet specific needs. For those institutions with an IBC program, it will help ensure that your institution meets the NIH requirement for periodic inspections. The LIA comes with several customizable survey templates including General Laboratory, BL-1, BL-2, and BL-3.
Events Calendar - Allows the BSO to track any required activities in a centralized and easily accessible format. Easily programmed to highlight missed or highly important items. The Events Calendar can be used to plan activities, provide a status check at any time, and as a permanent record of program compliance.
Alerts Manager - Can be linked to the IBC Research Application database or Events Calendar to allow automatic email alerts to multiple addresses. Send email reminders of pending deadlines or overdue tasks at programmed intervals to ensure you won’t miss a required function.
The Biosafety Support Solution is supported by our biosafety experts who work with you to install and customize your site, as well as answer your questions concerning everyday issues. This package can also be upgraded to full eH&E–LabSupport capabilities as needed.
The subscription price of the Biosafety Support Solution is $995 per year, and includes all of the functionality listed above and up to five hours of customization time.
